TRAVEL TO AMSTERDAM | ACCOMMODATION

Travel by public transport

As the main program starts at 10:00h (10am) and ends at 20:00h (8pm) there should be plenty of time to travel to Amsterdam by public transport in the morning.

Travel by car / bike

It is possible to arrive at the hotel 30 minutes before the start of the program.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM PARTICIPANTS

The event program will start each event day at 10:00h (10am) and will end at 20:00h (8pm).

We ask of all participants that they are present during the meeting hours in the location where the meeting is held and that they actively contribute to the workshop program.

IAS GLOBAL VILLAGE - 24 JULY

The Global Village is a diverse and vibrant space that is part of the AIDS 2018 conference, where communities from all over the world gather to meet, share and learn from each other. On Tuesday 24 July a visit to the Global Village will be part of the program. Global Village will be located in Hall 5 and the Amtrium of the RAI Amsterdam

Françoise Barre-Sinoussi

Françoise Barré-Sinoussi is a French virologist. In 2008, together with Luc Montagnier, who was the director of her laboratory at the Institut Pasteur in the early 80’s, she was awarded the Nobel Prize of medicine for the discovery of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in 1983.

Timothy Brown

Timothy Ray Brown (born 1966) is an American considered to be the first person cured of HIV/AIDS. Brown was diagnosed with HIV in 1995 while studying in Berlin, Germany, giving him the nickname The Berlin Patient.
